Meet MatA, the DJ and producer from the city of Porto who has spent the last 14 years in London, where his passion for electronic music and sound design has opened up. Starting his career with Drum and Bass as his main genre, MatA gradually expanded his musical horizons to encompass a diverse array of genres, including Techno, UK Garage, House, Funk, Disco, Jazz and RnB.

This versatility allows him to create sets that transport listeners through a sonic journey. With performances across multiple countries, including Portugal, the United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, and Spain, he's had the privilege of sharing the stage with industry legends. To name a few, Andy C, DJ Hype, Noisia, DJ Friction, DJ Marky, Roni Size, Pendulum, The Prototypes, Spor, David Guetta, The Roots, Oliver Huntmann, The Bloody Beetroots, Steve Aoki, Skrillex, Cyberpunkers, Dusty Kid, Ritchie Hawtin, El Matador, Pan Pot, and Paul Kalkbrenner.

He has also had multiple experiences on the sound design realm, working and collaborating with different brands. He has embraced different projects on his sound design journey, some of which are displayed on this website.

MatA holds a few residencies at some of the most prestiged private member clubs in London such as The Ned and acclaimed restaurants and hotels including The Four Seasons and Bocconcino. As MatA continues to evolve and innovate, his passion for music remains at the forefront of his journey.
